This tutorial created November 19, 2002 and is the sole property of Bubbles' PSP. Please do not remove tutorial or any part of this tutorial from my site unless you have permission to do so. PSP groups, as always, please feel free to use any of my tutorials that you wish for your groups; I just ask that you share the url to the tutorial and not the tutorial itself.
NOTE: To get the same effect on your frame that I have, your image needs to be the same size as the one I used. My graphic was 298w x 425h; different sized graphics will give you different results so feel free to experiment; you may find a result you like better than the one mine has.
For this tutorial you will need:
PAINT SHOP PRO (Trial Version)
CRESCENT MOON To get to the filters at Raving Concepts, click on Raving Concepts title; when the page opens up click on Site Index. A popup screen will appear and from there you click on Plugin Filters. Crescent Moon will be listed under Lindon Parker's Crescent Moon.
GRAPHICS PLUS
Mask needed for this tutorial. I don't remember where I received this mask from; if you recognize this mask as one of yours, please email me so I may give you credit for the mask.
Image that I am using. Artwork by Alan Ayers entitled "The Widow's Kiss" ©2000 Alan Ayers and is used with permission.
Goldfill pattern that I used.
Okay, let's start on our frame!
1. Open your graphic in PSP; Shift+D to make a copy of your graphic; close out your original as we will be working with the copy of the graphic. Open your mask and goldfill pattern and minimize in PSP. Set your foreground color to black (#000000) or color of choice and your background color to white. Change your background style box to patterns and select your goldfill pattern that you are going to use on your frame.
2. Layers/New Raster Layer. Floodfill with your foreground color. Masks/New/From Image and from your drop down box under window source select mask046ms.

3. Selections/From Mask. Masks/Delete. Merge into the current layer? YES! Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow using the settings shown: Opacity 85; Blur 6.2; Vertical 0; Horizontal 0. Apply this drop shadow two (2) times. Selections/Select None. Effects/Sharpen/Sharpen.

4. Layers/Merge/Merge All Flatten. Image Add Borders 3 pixels symmetric checked. Select your border with your magic wand and floodfill with your goldfill pattern or color of choice. Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel using the settings shown below.

5. Selections/Invert. Effects/3D Effects/Cutout using the settings shown: Opacity 68; Blur 15; Vertical 0; Horizontal 0. Selections/Select None.

6. Image/Add Borders 15 pixels symmetric checked. Select your border with your magic wand (tolerance 0 feather 0). Choose a color from your graphic and make it your foreground color. Floodfill your selected border with your foreground color. I'm using #D7C8AB. Do not deselect.
7. Effects/Noise/Add Noise 10% uniform checked. Do not deselect.

8. Effects/Plugin Filters/Graphics Plus/Cross Shadow using the settings shown below. Selections/Select None.

9. Image/Add Borders 3 pixels symmetric checked. I had to use a color other than white to add this border because of the crossshadow effect on the previous border. Select your border with your magic wand and floodfill with your goldfill pattern or choice of color. Apply same inner bevel as before in step 4. (settings shown below).

10. Selections/Invert. Effects/3D Effects/Cutout using the same settings as in step 5. Selections/Select None.

11. Image/Add Borders/30 pixels symmetric checked. Select your border with your magic wand and floodfill with black (#000000). Effects/Plugin Filters/Crescent Moon/Terra Cotta using the settings shown below. Do not deselect.

12. Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel using the settings shown below. Do not deselect.

13. Apply same inner bevel once again changing the angle to 122. Selections/Select None. Apply corners if desired; resize if needed, remembering to go to Effects/Sharpen/Sharpen after each resize. Save in desired format.
Below are my testers' lovely results of the tutorial. Thank you Sherry and Jenni for testing my tutorial for me.
