FUNHOUSE FILTERS 2 (On the top menu bar, click on resources and from the drop down menu go to Plug-in Filters).

LITHOGRAPH

Image that I am using here. If anyone knows who the artist is of this lovely picture, please email me with the name so I can give credit or remove if the artist so wishes. Note: You get a different effect using the lithograph filter on light color images; see below for a different effect and the settings I used.

Let's get started on our frame!

1. Open your image in PSP; Shift+D to make a copy of your graphic; close out your orginal and use the copy of your graphic for your frame. That way you can save your original for future use.

2. Effects/PluginFilters/Xero/Lithograph using these settings: Vibrancy 129; Colouration 255.

3. Effects/PluginFilters/FM Tile Tools/Blend Emboss using the default settings except change the Intensity setting to .082.

4. Set your background color to white (#FFFFFF) and your foreground color to a color from your graphic that you wish to use on your border. I'm using color #810128. Image/Add Borders 3 pixels symmetric checked. Click on your white border with your magic wand (tolerance 0 feather 0) to select. Apply your favorite Blade Pro preset or gold pattern fill. I'm using Blade Pro's gold2 preset.

5. Selections/Invert. Effects/3D Effects/Cutout using these settings: Opacity 85; Blur 20; Vertical 0; Horizontal 0. Selections/Select None.

6. Toggle your colors so that your foreground color is now your background color. Image/Add Borders 3 pixels symmetric checked. Select your border with the magic wand and go to Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel and use the settings shown below. Selections/Select None.

7. Toggle your colors so that white is your background color and the color you chose from your graphic is your foreground color. Image/Add Borders 3 pixels symmetric checked. Select your border with the magic wand and apply your favorite BP preset or floodfill with your gold pattern fill. Selections/Select None.

8. Image/Add Borders 20 pixels symmetric checked. Select your white border with your magic wand. Floodfill with your foreground color. Effects/PluginFilters/Simple/Top Bottom Wrap. Effects/PluginFilters/Simple/Half Wrap. Do not deselect.

9. Effects/PluginFilters/FunHouse/Sierpenski's Mirror using these settings: Scaling Factor 60; Fractual Power 36. Do not deselect.

10. Selections/Invert. Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow using these settings: Opacity 75; Blur 10; Vertical 2; Horizontal 2; repeat drop shadow changing the vertical and horizontal settings to (-2). Selections/Invert. Effects/Sharpen/Sharpen. Selections/Select None.

11. Image/Add Borders 3 pixels symmetric checked. Select your border with your magic wand and apply your favorite Blade Pro preset or gold pattern fill. Selections/Invert. Effects/3D Effects/Cutout using these settings: Opacity 80; Blur 16; Vertical 3; Horizontal 3; repeat cutout changing the vertical and horizontal settings to (-3).

12. Image/Add Borders 25 pixels symmetric checked. Select your border with your magic wand and floodfill with your foreground color. Effects/Texture Effects/Blinds using these settings: Width 3; Opacity 100; Light from left/top checked. Do not deselect.

13. Effects/Artistic Effects/Topography using the settings shown below. Do not deselect.

14. Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel using the pillow preset but changing the Elevation setting to 32. Selections/Select None.

Your frame is now complete. Add corner dings if desired. Resize if needed, remembering to go to Effects/Sharpen/Sharpen after you resize.

Below is another result of the lithograph tutorial using a light colored graphic. The settings for the lithograph filter were as follows: Vibrancy 93; Colouration 255.
