Sand preset
The mask that I'm using is from Hayler's Creations. Bonnie has created some lovely masks as well as fantastic tutorials; you can get the mask here. It is mask 19, the 3rd mask on the second row. You will have to download all the masks on that page, but believe me, they are great masks, everyone of them.
You will also need an image of your choice or you can use the one that I'm using. Click here for the image that I'm using. This artwork is entitled "Miranda" and the artist is Sir Frank Francis Dicksee.
Let's get started on our tutorial!!
1. Open your image in PSP that you are going to use; Shift+D to make a copy of your graphic. Close the original as we will be working with the copy. You will need to open your mask also and minimize in PSP.
2. Effects/PluginFilters/Xero/Porcelain using these settings: Softness 50; Strength 128; Brightness 128

3. Layers/New Raster Layer. Grab your magic wand and select a color from your graphic to use on your frame. Make this color your foreground color and set your background color to white (#FFFFFF). I'm using #842600 for my foreground color.
4. Select your bucket tool and floodfill your new layer with your foreground color. Effects/Texture Effects/Texture using the sand preset and the settings shown below.

5. Masks/New/From Image and select haylers19 from under the source window. Masks/Invert.

6. Selections/From Mask. Masks/Delete. Merge into current layer? YES! Selections/Invert. Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow using these settings: Opacity 75; Blur 12.3; Vertical 4; Horizontal 4; repeat drop shadow changing the vertical and horizontal settings to (-4). Selections/Select None.

7. Your background color should be set to white (#FFFFFF). Image/Add Borders 2 pixels symmetric checked. Click on your white border with your magic wand (tolerance 0 feather 0) to select. Apply your favorite BP preset or goldfill pattern. I'm using D_hollygold. I want to thank Karin for sending me the link to Dee's bladepro presets. Click here to visit Dee's site and see her wonderful presets. Do not deselect.
8. Selections/Invert. Effects/3D Effects/Cutout using these settings: Opacity 75; Blur 17.5; Vertical 3; Horizontal 3; repeat cutout changing the vertical and horizontal settings to (-3). Selections/Select None.

9. Image/Add Borders/15 pixels symmetric checked. Select your border with your magic wand and floodfill with your foreground color. Effects/Texture Effects/Mosaic Glass using the settings shown below. Do not deselect.

10. Effects/Texture Effects/Mosaic Antique using the settings shown below. Effects/Sharpen/Sharpen. Selections/Select None.

11. Image/Add Borders 2 pixels symmetric checked. Click on your white border with your magic wand to select. Apply your favorite BP preset or goldfill pattern. Selections/Invert. Effects/3D Effects/Cutout using the same settings as before: Opacity 75; Blur 17.5; Vertical 3; Horizontal 3; repeat cutout changing the vertical and horizontal settings to (-3). Selections/Select None.

12. Image/Add Borders/25 pixels symmetric checked. Select your white border with your magic wand; floodfill withyour foreground color. Effects/PluginFilters/Redfield/Lattice Composer using the H-weave preset and the settings as shown below. Keep selected.

13. Effects/Artistic Effects/Brush Strokes using the settings shown below. Keep selected.

14. Toggle your colors so that white is now your foreground color. Effects/Artistic Effects/Hot Wax Coating. Effects/3D Effects/Inner Bevel using the settings shown below. Do not deselect.

15. Effects/Inner Bevel using the settings shown below. Selections/Select None.

Your frame is now finished. Add corners if desired and resize if necessary, remembering to go to Effects/Sharpen/Sharpen after you resize.
