This tutorial created on October 14, 2002 and is the sole property of Bubbles' PSP. Please do not remove this tutorial or any part of this tutorial from my site unless you have permission to do so. PSP groups, feel free to use any of my tutorials that you wish; I just ask that you not pass the tutorial through emails or through yahoogroups. Please, just share the link to the tutorial and NOT the tutorial itself. For this tutorial you will need:

PAINT SHOP PRO (Trial Version)

SUPER BLADE PRO (Optional)

GREG'S FACTORY OUTPUT 11 (Click on Resources tab and then Plugin Filters)

SANDY BLAIR'S FLUTTER

Mask that I used for this tutorial. It is from Gardendale Designs and she has lots of wonderful masks. Note: The mask is the second mask on the second row; the mouseover shows mask 14 but when it is downloaded it is mask 9 like in the tutorial.

Image that I am using. This artwork is by the wonderful artist Karl Bang.

Okay, let's get started!!

1. Open your graphic in PSP; Shift+D to make a copy of your graphic; close the orginial as we will be working with the copy. Click on your selection tool and set it to ellipse, feather 0, antialias checked. Place your cursor at the center of your graphic and draw an ellipse around the center of your graphic.

2. Selections/Invert. Effects/Plugin Filters/Ecosse/Flutter using the settings shown below. Do not deselect.

5. Set your background color to white (#FFFFFF). Image/Add Borders 3 pixels symmetric checked. Click on your white border with your magic wand (tolerance 0 feather 0) and apply your favorite Blade Pro preset or goldfill pattern. I'm using D_holly gold. Dee has some great Blade Pro presets; you can check out her presets here. Selections/Invert.

6. Effects/3D Effects/Cutout using these settings: Opacity 75; Blur 17.5; Vertical 3; Horizontal 3; repeat cutout changing the vertical and horizontal settings to (-3). Selections/Select None.

8. Effects/Noise/Add 10% uniform checked. Effects/Plugin Filters/Greg's Factory Output 11/Pool Shadow using the settings shown below. Selections/Select None.

9. Image/Add Borders 3 pixels symmetric checked. Select your white border with your magic wand and apply your favorite BP preset or goldfill pattern. Selections/Select None.

10. Image/Add Borders/25 pixels symmetric checked. Once again, go to your graphic and select a different color for this border. Make it your foreground color. I'm using color #813366.

11. Select your white border with your magic wand and floodfill with your foreground color. Effects/Noise/ Add 10% uniform checked. Apply pool shadow using same settings as before. Selections/Select None.

12. Layers/New Raster Layer. Floodfill with your white bkg color. Masks/Load From Disk/SNFrame09.

13. Selections/From Mask. Masks/Delete. Merge into current layer? YES! Apply your favorite BP preset or goldfill pattern. Do not deselect.

14. Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow using these settings: Opacity 80; Blur 2.5; Vertical 1; Horizontal 1; repeat drop shadow changing the vertical and horizontal settings to (-1). Selections/Select None. Effects/Sharpen/Sharpen.
